Aplus Finetek Sensor, Inc. is pleased to announce the introduction of the EPR Series Paddlewheel Flowmeter. Using proven magnetic paddlewheel technology and state-of-the-art electronics, the EPR continuously measures the flow of liquids in pipes with a velocity range of 0.98ft/s~32.8ft/s (0.3m/s~10.0m/s) in pipe sizes from ¾” through 2” (DN20 to DN50). The EPR will work in applications where fluid is clean, up to impurity level of 1% with particle size up to 0.5mm. The EPR key features include its cost effect and reliable technology, choice of output, built-in RS485 MODBUS serial link and choice of materials.
Many processes of bulk solid materials require dust collection to keep production areas safe and clean as well as to reclaim material. Dust collection systems are commonly used in these situations. In a wood working system a dust collection system was manufactured using a 55 gallon drum as the collector. To keep the drum from overfilling and to prevent the dust from backing up into the system, a compact rotary paddle bin level indicator has been successfully used.

The SC35 series uses state-of-the-art piezoelectric crystal and electronic technology to design and manufacture a point level sensor that does not require any calibration and can detect solids with a density as low as 0.624lbs/ft3!
The SC35 series is a vibrating fork point level sensor that can be used to detect the presence and absence of bulk solid material over a very wide range of material densities. The minimum density that the SC35 series can detect is 0.624lbs/ft3 (10g/l). Other features of the SC35 series vibrating fork point level sensor include self-diagnostics of problems, including material build-up and abrasion to the primary sensing element, a small compact housing, a universal 19-253VAC/VDC power supply and the availability of standard, pipe extended, high temperature and cable extended probe versions.
The SC35 series is a vibrating tuning fork point level sensor utilizing piezoelectric crystal and solid-state electronics technologies to produce vibration in the tuning fork element at a specific frequency and receive electronic feedback. When the probe element is covered or in contact with the target material the vibration is dampened, the electronic feedback changes and presence of the material is thereby sensed by the electronics, which changes the state of the sensor output to indicate material presence. When the probe element is again free of the target material the vibration again is produced, the output state reverts to indicate material absence.

Aplus Finetek Sensor, Inc. is pleased to announce the introduction of the JTR Series Guided Wave Radar Level Transmitter. Using state-of-the-art TDR technology, the JTR continuously measures the changing level of each of two liquids of differing specific gravity, within the same tank. The JTR features a 2-wire loop power supply and provides an independent 4-20mA output for each the top and bottom fluid levels. The JTR can also be equipped with HART 7.0. Alternately the JTR can be provided in a 4-wire design when RS485 MODBUS communications is required, with either one 4-20mA output or with two 4-20mA outputs when being used for interface measurement applications. The JTR is also a very cost effective and reliable unit.
How it works …. The JTR use Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) technology. Radar pulses are guided to the material surface and back to the JTR by a wave guide, probe, rod or cable, and the time of flight is precisely measured and directly corresponds to the empty space distance within the vessel. Most of the radar pulse energy is absorbed by the top fluid, then another reflection (echo) is created off the interface or bottom fluid, therefore in the case of interface level measurement applications two significant reflection echoes will exist, the top fluid and the interface or bottom fluid. A minimum difference in the S.G. of the fluids is necessary.
Key features of the JTR guided wave radar level transmitter include cost effective 2-wire power supply to simplify installation, optionally available HART or RS485 MODBUS digital communications, up to 100ft measuring range (probe type dependent), built-in display for easy setup, a wide range of mounting connection sizes and types and ±0.197” (5mm) measurement accuracy.
